The International Awareness and Involvement Committee works to increase global citizenship by fostering an appreciation for diverse cultures, promoting awareness of international issues, and supporting efforts that improve the lives of women, children, and families around the world. Through education, advocacy, and service, the committee helps connect local communities to global challenges and opportunities.
Guided by our sorority’s national leadership’s charge to commit to international awareness, the committee works to identify issues affecting women of color and their families worldwide while promoting solutions through partnerships, education, and outreach. The committee supports initiatives that encourage cultural understanding, humanitarian service, and engagement with international affairs.
In addition to raising awareness, the committee provides tangible support for global and local initiatives. Through its work, the committee encourages members and the community to think beyond borders and embrace their role as informed and engaged citizens of the world.
