The Physical and Mental Health Committee is dedicated to promoting holistic wellness by educating, engaging and empowering indivduals to make informed decisions about their physical, mental and emotional well-being.
Recognizing that health outcomes are often influenced by access, awareness, and opportunity, the committee works to connect communities—particularly communities of color—to culturally relevant resources and information that support healthier lives.
Our signature initiative is named in memory of one our members, the
Bernadette Whitt Mental and Physical Health Symposium. It brings together experts, advocates, and community members to address critical health issues while promoting awareness, prevention, and overall wellness.
Bernadette believed in fighting for others, so in that spirit, the committee also equips chapter members to serve as wellness advocates, extending the reach of health education and resources throughout the communities we serve. By fostering awareness, reducing disparities, and encouraging healthy behaviors, the Physical and Mental Health Committee works to create healthier futures for individuals, families, and communities.
