Greetings All!
I am Eunice Johnson Clay, proud President of the exceptional and award-winning Chicago Alumnae Chapter of Delta Sigma Theta Sorority, Inc. Grounded in Sisterhood, Scholarship, Social Action and Service, we are leading with love through compassionate service, moving with purpose through impactful programming, and growing stronger together within our chapter and throughout the communities we serve.
Since 1925, Delta Sigma Theta Sorority, Inc. has remained committed to delivering meaningful public service across Chicago and surrounding communities, building a legacy of leadership and dedication. To further define and deepen this mission, Chicago Alumnae Chapter was chartered in 1959 and continues to uphold the promise of collective excellence for the benefit of all.
Known far and wide as "Thee" Chicago Alumnae Chapter, we are dedicated to creating opportunity, strengthening bonds of sisterhood, and serving as a source of hope and progress throughout Chicago, Evergreen Park, and Oak Lawn. Guided by our Five-Point Programmatic Thrust, we proudly advance initiatives focused on economic empowerment, educational development, physical and mental health, political awareness, and global impact.
Among our greatest accomplishments is our investment in youth. Thee Chicago Alumnae Chapter has awarded more than $1 million in scholarships to local students, helping them pursue their goals, embrace service, and grow into strong leaders.
If you are a member of Delta Sigma Theta Sorority, Inc. and looking for a chapter home, Chicago Alumnae is the place for you! We are a diverse chapter, with all generations represented, and would be honored to have you join our family. Our monthly meetings are held third Fridays at 6:30pm. In the area? Visiting Sorors are always welcome, too.
Thank you again for visiting our website and learning more about our commitment to service and sisterhood. As we continue leading with love, moving with purpose, and growing stronger together, and in the community, we invite you to come along by following us on social media. We also welcome opportunities to partner and collaborate with organizations, community leaders, and changemakers who share our passion.
As Shirley Chisholm reminded us, “You don’t make progress by standing on the sidelines,” so we encourage everyone to stay informed, get involved, and continue doing the work that moves our communities forward together.
Sisterly,
Eunice Johnson-Clay
